Abstract
- A study conducted in Ontario, Canada compared the physical health and health services use between male and female veterans. The study found that female veterans had a higher risk of rheumatoid arthritis and asthma compared to male veterans, but a lower risk of myocardial infarction, hypertension, and diabetes. Female veterans also accessed health services more frequently than their male counterparts. These findings have important implications for healthcare policy and program planning to ensure that female veterans have access to appropriate health services. [Extracted from the article]
