Abstract
- A recent report from Aix-Marseille University discusses the potential benefits of cannabis in treating nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The researchers highlight the endocannabinoid system (ECS) as a key target for treating NAFLD and suggest that the cannabis plant, with its diverse active compounds, could be a major prospect in the treatment of this condition. However, the report also acknowledges the need to overcome scientific and nonscientific barriers in order to further explore this potential treatment option. The research has been peer-reviewed and published in the journal Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research. [Extracted from the article]
