Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Chungnam National University Hospital in South Korea focused on congenital melanocytic nevus (CMN), a benign condition that is present at birth or develops in the first weeks of life. The researchers presented a case report of a 26-year-old woman with a medium-sized CMN on her left breast. They opted to use a thin thoracodorsal artery perforator free flap for reconstruction after the removal of the CMN, which successfully preserved the natural shape and contour of the breast without complications. The study provides valuable insights into surgical options for CMN removal and reconstruction. [Extracted from the article]
