Abstract
- A study conducted by researchers at Kerman University of Medical Sciences in Iran explores the development of nanofibers for topical wound treatment. The study focuses on the use of allantoin and silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) loaded poly caprolactone/gelatin (PCL/GEL) nanofibers produced through electrospinning. The researchers found that these nanofibers exhibited cyto-compatibility and wound healing activity in vitro and in vivo. The study concludes that the Ag NPs/allantoin loaded scaffolds have potential as effective wound dressing materials due to their antibacterial activity and wound healing properties.
