Abstract

This article provides information on the surgical management of distal humerus fractures using distal humerus dual plating. The study examined the outcomes of 30 patients who underwent this surgical treatment and found that the average union time was 24 weeks, with satisfactory functional outcomes. The article highlights the importance of using dual plating through a posterior approach and olecranon osteotomy to restore optimal elbow function. It also discusses the AO/OTA classification system for distal humeral fractures and concludes that plate and screw fixation can offer better outcomes for complex fractures, although more research is needed.
