Abstract
- The study found that the prevalence of hypertension among diabetics was 53.89%. Modifiable risk factors such as smoking and alcohol consumption were significantly associated with hypertension in diabetics, while non-modifiable risk factors such as age and duration of diabetes were not statistically significant. The study also found that certain biochemical parameters, such as HDL and cholesterol levels, were related to hypertension. The article emphasizes the importance of managing these risk factors to prevent complications and increase the cost of treatment. [Extracted from the article]
