Abstract

The article addressing clinician bad behavior and the need for chief medical officers (CMOs) to model professionalism. Topics include the prevalence and impact of unprofessional conduct; examples of such behavior; and four ways for chief medical officers to curb clinicians' bad behaviors, including modeling professionalism, creating a plan, providing feedback and collaborating with organizational partners.
