Abstract
- A literary criticism of the 2018 novel "My Year of Rest and Relaxation" by Ottessa Moshfegh is presented. It exploring its protagonist's attempt to escape personal turmoil through a self-imposed "hibernation" involving a mix of fictional drugs; discussions about feminism, the intersection of mental health issues and literature; and personal struggles faced by female protagonists, examining how literature reflects and satirizes the changing landscape over the decades.
