Abstract

A new study on climate change and its impact on human health has been published. The study aims to identify ways to prioritize public health operations that will have the greatest benefit for population health in a changing climate, taking into account the vulnerabilities of different groups. The researchers plan to develop a framework that links public health functions with climate change mitigation and adaptation measures, and to pilot this framework in Germany and Kenya. The study concludes that there is potential in combining public health operations and climate change action to identify priority actions for decision makers and practitioners, and that practical guidance is needed to link public health operations with climate action.
