Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Banasthali Vidyapith in Rajasthan, India, explores the use of nanoemulsions as a novel technology for improving the bioavailability of drugs. Nanoemulsions are small droplets with a size range of 20 to 200 nanometers, which enhances drug dissolution and improves the solubility and bioavailability of weakly water-soluble drugs. They can be formulated in various dosage forms and administered through different routes. The study emphasizes the importance of surfactants and cosurfactants in creating stable nanoemulsion formulations. Overall, nanoemulsions have the potential to enhance medication delivery and improve patient outcomes in various therapeutic contexts. [Extracted from the article]
