Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers from the Affiliated Ganzhou Hospital of Nanchang University explores the role of CD147, a glycoprotein, in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). The study found that silencing CD147 inhibited cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and lipid metabolism dysregulation, while promoting apoptosis in LUAD cells. The researchers also discovered that the Rap1 signaling pathway was blocked by CD147 silencing, and that the intervention of a Rap1 activator weakened the inhibiting effects of CD147 silencing on LUAD cell functions. This study provides valuable insights into the potential therapeutic targets for LUAD treatment. [Extracted from the article]
