Abstract

This article presents a study on the development and validation of the Turkish version of the Concerns About Pain Scale (UW-CAP) for individuals with chronic low back pain. The Turkish version of the scale demonstrated good internal consistency, excellent test-retest reliability, and strong positive correlations with other pain-related measures. The authors conclude that the Turkish version of the UW-CAP is a valid and reliable tool for assessing pain catastrophizing in Turkish individuals with chronic low back pain. However, the study had limitations, such as the inclusion of only individuals with chronic low back pain and the lack of investigation into responsiveness and minimal clinically important difference values.
