The analysis of University student's motivation in learning by using E-book with magazine display in the time of Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to describe student learning motivation towards the use of teaching materials in the form of e-books with magazine displays during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were students who contracted economics mathematics courses which were chosen at random. The instruments used are motivation questionnaire test sheets, interview test sheets, and learning process observation questionnaire sheets. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the overall percentage of students' learning motivation was 80.53% with a very high category. The results of the percentage of each motivation indicator, respectively, namely the desire and desire to succeed, the drive and need to learn, and being diligent in facing tasks are 82.6%, 84%, and 84.6% with very high categories. Furthermore, the percentages on each indicator of student learning motivation in a row are tenacity in facing difficulties, interesting activities in learning, and pleasure in finding and solving problems of 80%, 78%, and 74% with high categories. Therefore, it can be concluded that e-book teaching materials with magazine displays are very effective in being used as teaching materials for students in the economics mathematics course at Jambi University to increase motivation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
