Sustainable agricultural development in Iraq: potentials and challenges.

Iraq owns agricultural resources, such as agricultural land, water, and manpower. The research aims to reveal Iraq's ability to secure the food needs of its population by exploiting this agricultural potential and reviews the obstacles that hinder agricultural development in the country. The research reached a number of conclusions, including Iraq's agricultural resources are insufficient to meet the food needs of the population in light of the prevailing productivity. The research also put forward a number of recommendations, including setting a comprehensive agricultural map for all regions of Iraq, for what should be produced, according to the available land and water, and the relative importance of each product.
