Network management system (NMS) to monitoring base transceiver station (BTS) in remote area with embedded system.

Maintenance and supervision of a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) is an important thing in order to be able to monitor the condition of the BTS whether it is in the proper condition or needs to be repaired. A BTS is a very important device in a communication system, so it needs to be monitored and maintained properly. BTS in Indonesia are famous for as many as 24 provinces with 137 districts and have a total BTS of up to 1067 points. BTS located in remote areas will certainly help with costs because the costs used to reach the location will be more expensive than the components used. For this reason, a Network Management System (NMS) was designed to monitor the condition of BTS in a certain area to make it easier to check the condition of the BTS. As for the NMS, it was designed using an embedded system with Simple Network Management Protocol. As a result, the NMS can be used to monitor the condition of the BTS through the installed sensors and can be monitored properly through the Praessler Router Traffic Grapher server. In addition, the NMS is designed to store all the data obtained on the SD Card and can be downloaded via the webserver at any time as proof that the NMS is working properly. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
