Research Progress of Preparation and Flame Retardant Mechanism of Intumescent Flame Retardant.

Intumescent flame retardant is a halogen-free flame retardant with excellent flame retardancy. It has the characteristics of low smoke, low toxicity and high fire prevention efficiency in the flame retardant process. It is an important direction of flame retardant research. The different classification and composition of intumescent flame retardants and the flame retardant mechanism of intumescent flame retardants are introduced. The research progress of existing intumescent flame retardants is summarized. The surface modification of intumescent flame retardants, the development of single-component intumescent flame retardants, the use of flame retardant synergists and the components of new intumescent flame retardants are elaborated and summarized. The problems that need to be solved in the development of intumescent flame retardants are pointed out.
