Abstract: The article focuses on the relationship between telocytes (TCs) and immune cells, particularly the expression of S100 protein, in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), finding that TCs are involved in the inflammatory response, and their presence decreases in fibrotic areas correlating.
