Abstract
- The dermatological manifestations of scurvy include follicular hyperkeratosis, xerosis, impaired wound healing, gingivitis, perifollicular hemorrhages, ecchymosis, and petechiae. Rarely, scurvy can present as panniculitis, small vessel vasculitis-type purpura, and palpable purpura from hemorrhage. Dermoscopy of petechiae reveals perifollicular hemorrhages and corkscrew hairs.
