Abstract

Arthritis is a degenerative disease of the musculoskeletal system that has the most destructive effect on cartilage. Physiotherapy is used to improve the condition of biological tissues. One of the methods of outer mechanical action, which has a therapeutic effect, is ultrasonic wave (USW) loading. In this work, on the basis of computer simulation, a study was made of the effect of different USW intensities on the repair of tissues of cartilage layer and meniscus in the knee joint. It was found that the circumstances for the repair of biological tissues of the knee joint are created with USW with an intensity of more than 1 W/cm<superscript>2</superscript>.
