National Clinical Guideline for Stroke for the United Kingdom and Ireland: Part I – An overview of the updated recommendations.

An editorial is presented on marking a new ambition for stroke rehabilitation launched in April 2023. Topics include proposing a raft of recommendations transforming occupational therapy provided to people with stroke and their families; and recommended staffing levels provided for hyperacute, acute and rehabilitation units adjusted to reflect 7days working and the increased intensity of therapy provision in the rehabilitation phase.
