Public offering (IPO) is a key mechanism in the functioning of the financial market. In the CEMAC zone, the related rules are plural and challenged by technological and financial developments such as crypto-assets. The present paper aims to demonstrate that, before the July 2022 reform of the financial market regulation, COSUMAF had a questionable legitimacy to regulate, and therefore to prohibit, fundraising involving crypto-assets. However, after this reform, the new provisions bring to the perimeter of the IPO some correctives that must nevertheless be well adjusted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
