Abstract

A complementary solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis was performed for LiBH<subscript>4</subscript>–ZrO<subscript>2</subscript> nanocomposites. As a result, amorphous LiBH<subscript>4</subscript> films with thicknesses of less than 30 nm were observed covering the ZrO<subscript>2</subscript> particles. Li imaging by energy-filtered TEM is useful for the real-space characterization of nanoscale LiBH<subscript>4</subscript>. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
