How Did I Get Here?: From Picture Books to a Graphic Memoir.

The author relates how she revised her graphic memoir which she called "Cancer Confidential" into "Why Is Everybody Yelling?: Growing Up in My Immigrant Family." She discusses how she coped up when she was diagnosed with a cancer, her idea formed that if she expressed her feelings about the nightmare of cancer in a graphic memoir, she would be able to heal herself emotionally, and the encouragement she received from editor Mark Siegel to pursue her plan for her book.
