THE U. S. BUILDING INDUSTRY: A CASE-PROBLEM IN COMMUNICATIONS.

This article presents information about the U.S. building industry, a case-problem in Communications. In October, 1950, with the blessings of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, some 125 persons representing 23 countries and 11 international organizations met in Paris and unanimously voted into existence an International Council for Building Documentation. Five working parties developed outlines for the exchange of information and the standardization of building terminology, including a polylingual dictionary.
