The name of Simon McBurney's theatre derives from the theatre pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq and emphasizes the importance of the co-presence as well as of the participation of all involved in an artistic communicative act. The article discusses selected performances from different stages of the creative work of the London ensemble, including adaptations of Bruno Schulz's short stories (The Street of Crocodiles) and Olga Tokarczuk's novel (Drive Your Plow over the Bones of the Dead).
