Abstract
- In recent Radio Frequency (RF) systems, optimized feeder lines are used to minimize signal loss and improve impedance matching. The paper designs an optimized feeder line for low-profile antennas using RF toolbox in MATLAB software. Conventional feed-based impedance matching techniques are often complex to design, and sometimes loss occurs due to impedance mismatch. For that external matching technique, i.e., quarter-wave transformer is essential. In addition, various parameters such as reflection coefficient, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), return loss and S11 are considered to determine the best impedance matching. RF toolbox provides a comprehensive set of functions and algorithms to design, analyze and optimize RF systems and circuits, including microstrip antennas and matching networks.
