Smart district heating system in smart town.

This paper provides a brief overview of the current state of heat energy markets in countries with developed district heating systems (the Nordic countries, China and Russia). Changes to the organizational structure of the market are identified, in the context of generational change in district heating systems (1-5 generations). Special emphasis is placed on providing end-users of thermal energy with new options using renewable energy sources, heat pumps as stated in the new fourth energy package adopted in the European Union in 2019. Generalized block diagram of the automation system for active prosumer developed.
