Abstract

However, recent literature on economic growth indicates that cultural diversity can be key to economic growth, and in fact, several countries as such are sitting on a large potential economic resource in the form of cultural diversity. Source: (World Bank, [2]) WDI. gl Driven by higher economic growth, many of the countries and regional per capita incomes of the Global South are converging with the per capita income of the developed regions and countries of the Global North. In the pursuit of economic growth, many of the countries of the Global South have slackened their regulations or have not firmed up environmental safeguards, resulting in adverse environmental consequences, which may in the long run compromise their economic growth.
