Design of Weighing Device for Remote Operation in Irradiated Environments.

For the weighing operation needs of radioactive materials in a sealed chamber in a typical irradiated environment, a weighing device using a power robotic arm and a master-slave robotic arm is designed to achieve remote operation. The weighing device consists of two parts, a quick-change scale body and a fixed base. According to the requirements of remote operation, the scale body is mounted, positioned and leveled, and a step-by-step aviation connector plug-and-unplug structure is designed. It has functions of remote maintenance and replacement, remote leveling and remote weighing. In field tests, the weighing device connects the operating screen to the outside of the chamber through a cable, and the data communication is normal. It can realize remote leveling and scale body maintenance and replacement by the robotic arm and is currently in good condition in the irradiated environment. The designed weighing device is simple in structure, easy in operation and stable in performance, which can be a solution for radioactive weighing operation and has a broad market application prospect.
