Abstract
- With the rapid aging of the population structure, the change of living patterns has caused the demand has gradually taken shape. Factors involved include a declining interest in caring for people at an old age, increasing income, the pursuit of high-quality services, and desires for a dignified and safe environment. The goal of this study was to construct the optimal configuration of resources to enhance the competitive mode of a long-term care center for operations research, to provide a reference for business owners. This study conducted an evaluation based on resource-based theory and Porter's AIERP diamond model, to identify developmental trends and factors that may give enterprises a competitive advantage in the rehabilitation medical device industry. Expert opinions were collected using a modified Delphi method, and the criteria for the allocation optimization model were then determined. Next, the effectiveness of the proposed model was assessed using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) for operations research. The proposed method can help administrators of senior citizen housing communities to select the most feasible options, by considering finance and market analysis-related concerns to ensure success in daily operations. This research proposes a competitive pattern for allocating resources for long-term care centers. The approach also allows operators to change increasingly rapidly in a competitive environment. The industry needs to learn and take in information about an incomplete situation in a short time. While this can create challenges, providing a conceptual strategic thinking framework.
