Abstract

Investing in the stock market involves inevitable risk, especially due to the Coronavirus disease (Covid 19) and regional quarantine (lockdown) policies. Experiencing pandemic conditions, some investors might be worried and sold their stocks. Any action would make some loss or miss potential significant gain. Even though time the market is considered a hard and complicated process, understanding the risk can be one way to quantitatively measure the risk. In this paper, the risk is quantified using Monte Carlo simulation by considering Covid 19 outbreak where the expected returns and the highest values were observed. Furthermore, Analyzing Process use data from three different coal mining companies in Indonesia stock exchange. As a result, the three stocks presented which stock was the most, moderate, and least risky. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
