Abstract
- In this essay I reflect on how the anti-ecological class interest of capital finds a parallel in capital's role in both precipitating and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Focusing on the U.S. experience, I discuss how the political Right has taken advantage of the Left's failure to recognize the relevance of its own (anti-capitalist) ecological perspective to questioning a public health agenda largely driven by the interests of Big Pharma.
