Delirium Among Patients With Cancer in the Intensive Care Unit: Prognostic Sign or Opportunity for Intervention.

An editorial is presented on delirium among patients with cancer in the intensive care unit (ICU) and its impact on clinical outcomes. Topics include the association between delirium and increased morbidity and mortality, the importance of systematic delirium screening and management in critically ill patients with cancer; and the need for goals-of-care conversations and involvement of palliative care in managing patients in the ICU environment.
