Abstract
- That deer fly can fly up to ninety miles per hour, and it's hungry. The big "bug eyes" on deer flies are actually thousands thou of little lenses clumped into two larger eyes. The eggs hatch within five to seven days, and the emerging fly larvae, or maggots, drop to the mud below. [Extracted from the article]
