Development of information support for the design of heat control systems for drum brakes.

The article is devoted to the consideration of the process of development of information support for heat control systems of rolling stock drum brakes. The example of a solid-rolled wagon shows the results of numerical simulations in the part of the study of the heat condition of the wheel in different braking modes and of the heat control process based on the developed complex computer model. The results obtained by the authors are compared with available experimental data and theoretical studies by other authors. The concepts of hot and cold wheels have been introduced, the detection algorithms of which are based on the application of numerical modeling and are also given in this article.
