Minimization of number of operations in FM system through longest batch processing time.

In manufacturing system workflow balancing in shop floor is a crucial task in industry 4.0. Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) is the solution for workflow balancing. In this examination longest processing time (LPT) is used for scheduling both machines and AGVs at a time. Completion times of jobs or operations in work flow is the objective function in the job shop scenario while calculating completion time idle time is no longer taken into account.
