Efficient design of band pass filter using slotted substrate integrated waveguide technique for Ku/K band applications.

Abstract
- Present day data processing electronics equipment has constraints with speed, bandwidth, power, and efficiency for communication. Fabrication of the several circuits on a single chip with advanced technology is the promising solution for wideband microwave application. Substrate Integrated waveguide is the method used for sensible approach with low power, much low copper loss and low dielectric losses. In this article we have presented an effective Band Pass Filter Using Slotted Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SSIW) Technique for the Applications of Ku/K Bands. The following advanced SIW based waveguide manages excessive powers and provides the large bandwidth. The proposed filter is designed by slotted type as H slot in met material septum of SSIW respectively. Implemented H-slot shaped filter accomplished amplification in bandwidth with operating frequency over the range of Ku/K band (16.5 GHz–19.9 GHz). Slotted SIW primarily microwave elements work on the cutoff frequencies pertained to the SSIW formatted structures, introducing in truncated components. We can know that SSIW based slotted elements offer a new achievable applications involving not only high level of miniaturized components but also integrated systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
