Abstract
- The aim of such project was the analysis of population imbalances in Europe, their challenges, and opportunities, contrasting two different territorial trends: rural areas suffering from depopulation I versus i growing urban areas which increase the concentration of population. The authors support also the idea that a policy only focused on rural areas would fail. Increasingly population are concentrated in urban areas and their surroundings, while rural areas - not all - face depopulation. [Extracted from the article]
