Abstract

We have carefully read the publication "Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound with SonoVue and Sonazoid for the Diagnosis of Colorectal Liver Metastasis after Chemotherapy", written by Liqi Sun et al.[1] The authors reported a significantly higher diagnostic accuracy and sensitivity in the diagnosis of Colorectal Liver Metastasis (CRLMs) using SonoVue compared with Sonazoid. Liver metastases can be either hypervascular or hypovascular and are supplied predominantly by arterial blood.[4] For CRLMs that tend to be hypo-vascular, contrast-enhancement of varying degrees is seen in the arterial phase, typically in the periphery/rim enhancement or diffuse hyper-enhancement patterns.
