A technique is described for the separation of fibrinogen by paper electrophoresis and the effects of various anticoagulants are compared: the best results were obtained with a veronal buffer and with heparin as anticoagulant. 2. Numerous difficulties, including that of avoiding denaturation of the fibrinogen and the incomplete separation of fibrinogen from the neighboring fractions, render quantitative estimation unsatisfactory and inferior to the standard methods.
