Abstract

The article discusses cellular organization of human distal airways and its disarray in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). It is evident that in a single-cell RNA-sequencing and imaging analysis, lung samples represented donor lungs unusual for transplant from subjects without history of chronic lung disease.
