Abstract
- Biofuels are currently produced from biomass via a very slow geological mechanism similar to that used to create fossil fuels. Even if the problem of dangerous gaseous emissions to the environment can be addressed, these fossil fuel sources will be depleted in the next decades. As a result, there is indeed a compelling must to find a viable replacement to fossil fuels now. However, biofuels can be good alternatives which are environmentally friendly, renewable and biodegradable. On the other hand, making use of low-cost waste material to produce the raw materials needed to make these fuels is critical. The focus of this research is to construct a selected overview of recent improvements on biofuels production via trans-esterification in order to expand on the recent findings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
