Abstract
- The cold strength and mechanical properties of AMg5 aluminum alloy produced by additive electric arc surfacing are considered. The mechanical properties of the 3D-printed alloy are worse than those of the rolled alloy. Quantum-mechanical calculations show that alloying with nanoparticles optimally improves the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys. Alloying with zirconium and tantalum or with titanium intermetallides is particularly effective. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
