Abstract

S3) was examined and identified as a Harlaftis Type 1 variation, the second most common multiple gallbladder configuration.[1] Multiple gallbladders are most commonly identified incidentally during workup for suspected biliary pathology and on presentation, there are no clear signs or symptoms that would indicate the presence of two gallbladders. The cystic plate was exposed demonstrating only a single CA and single CD entering the duplicated gallbladder. The most commonly referenced classification for multiple gallbladders is the Harlaftis classification which describes three types: Type 1 in which the duplicate gallbladders have a singular cystic duct.
