Abstract
- The article focuses on the diversity of traditional puppetry in India. It explores the various forms of Indian puppetry, including glove, rod, string, shadow, and hybrid forms, and how they has adapted and evolved over time to suit changing audiences and patrons. It also discusses the importance of the epics of India, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, in traditional puppetry performances.
