Abstract

The article focuses on the process of paper recycling in South Africa and the difference between recyclable products and locally recycled products. It explains that a product being recyclable does not necessarily mean that it can be collected efficiently or recycled locally. It also emphasizes the importance of separation-at-source, where waste is separated at the point of consumption to ensure that recyclables are not contaminated by wet waste.
