Abstract

The article informs the consistency of using polygenic testing in pregnancy is under debate. It mentions that some argue prenatal selection should be allowed based on likely cognitive ability within the normal range, others argue against. It highlights the prenatal selection against fetuses with sex chromosome anomalies is allowed in the context of fetal sex determination by noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) on social grounds.
