Synthesis, characterization and antioxidant property of nano-scaled metal complexes of triazine based hydroxy chalcone.

Abstract
- In the present investigation, novel triazine-based chalcone ligand (1-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-(4-((4-((4-nitrophenyl)amino)-6-phenoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)oxy)phenyl) prop-2-en-1-one) (DNPP) is synthesized and used in metal complexes synthesis which contains iron, copper, nickel, and zinc. <superscript>1</superscript>H NMR and IR spectrum of DNPP confirms the formation of the product. UV-Visible spectrum shows a peak around 400–500 nm for d-d transition. SEM with EDX shows the metal complexes is in crystalline state with the size in the range of 20–50 nm. TGA analysis shows the synthesized compound is highly stable and the residue content confirms the presence of metal in the molecular structure. Antioxidant were found out to be <50 μg/ml.
