Abstract
- This article focuses on the Royal Manuscript 18 B II which is the earliest and most complete surviving witness to the Middle English prose "Melusine." The article discusses the single-text codex and its features including the number and placement of capitula and explores the hypothesis that the manuscript was translated from the first edition of writer Jean d'Arras's "Mélusine" printed by Adam Steinschaber in Geneva, Switzerland in August 1478.
