Coherent signal localization with multiple arrays: a successive perspective.

Abstract
- In this paper, the problem of coherent sources localization for the multiple arrays considering multipath effect is investigated, and a successive source localization algorithm is proposed. To overcome the coherence caused by multipath signal, an enhanced spatial smoothing pre-processing algorithm is deployed on the signal subspace as decoherence pre-processing. Then a coarse estimation is obtained by clustering algorithm, and a narrow search range can be determined for direct position determination (DPD) algorithm. Therefore, the accurate target position can be estimated via the subspace data fusion DPD algorithm. Finally, performance analysis and extensive numerical results reveal that the proposed algorithm outperforms general global search DPD algorithms and clustering two-step algorithms in terms of computational complexity and estimation performance, respectively.
